JAIL GUARD VICKY WHITE AND INMATE CASEY COLE WHITE ARRESTED AFTER CAR CHASE
Capital murder suspect Casey Cole White and former Alabama jail guard Vicky White were arrested in Indiana following a car chase that ended in a crash.
Evansville Sheriff Dave Wedding told WAAY TV that Vicky shot herself in the process. According to Fox News’s Bret Baier, Vicky White has been taken to a local hospital for a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
The pair have been on the run since April 29 after escaping from Lauderdale County jail in Alabama.
A press conference is supposed to take place shortly.
ABC News shared a clip of Alabama Sheriff Rick Singleton announcing the news, on Twitter:

It was announced after the pair disappeared that Vicky White was fired from her job losing her pension. Sherriff Singleton announced this last Wednesday after being asked if Vicky White had been terminated, “Why, absolutely. I mean, yeah. Of course, we haven’t had time to do the paperwork. But, yes, her employment is over with the Lauderdale County sheriff’s office.”
The manhunt had been ongoing for eleven days before the pair were finally caught.
AL.com reported, “Vicky White recently bought the AR-15 and shotgun they are thought be armed with, authorities said. However, their relationship has likely been going on for up to two years.”
Vicky had apparently recently sold her home, well below market value. The home was sold in April for $95,550. The country records in Lauderdale County list the home’s total value at $235,600.
Vicky also announced she was planning to retire before the pair took off together. Vicky was the assistant director of corrections of the Lauderdale County jail.
