Alyssa Milano Arrested In Washington DC

Sharing is caring!

Alyssa Milano was arrested outside the White House at a ‘No More Excuses: Voting Rights Now’ protest after she ignored warnings from U.S. Park Police officers.

She said: “I was just arrested for demanding the Biden Administration and the Senate to use their mandate to protect voting rights. Stand with me and @peoplefor  and tell the Senate and White House that voting rights shouldn’t depend on where you live.”

“John Lewis told us, ‘The vote is the most powerful nonviolent change agent you have in a democratic society. You must use it because it is not guaranteed. You can lose it.’ States across the country are trying to take it away from so many people in a cynical power grab. We can’t let them,” Milano said in a statement.

“We need federal law right now to protect voting rights for all Americans, no matter which state they happen to live in. It’s a cause that’s worth getting arrested for,” she said.

She also used the arrest to announce that she will testify before Congress about some nonsense that will go nowhere but will make Alyssa and her crew feel good. She said:

“On Thurs (10/21), I will be testifying in front of Congress in support of the ERA.

“The lack of Constitutional protections for anyone who is not a cisgender man is a blemish on the very idea of Americanism.”

From The Daily Mail:

Milano made headlines when she said she is ‘considering’ running for Congress in 2024, but would make a decision after the 2022 midterm elections.

But the actress has faced some controversy in the past, with her neighbors reporting last year that she and her husband, Dave Bugliari, 39, dialed 911 when they heard what they believed to be gunshots on their 1.39-acre property.

They husband allegedly told the emergency hotline the sound ‘scared their dogs’ and made them feel like the gunman was nearby.

A description was given of a suspect to the officers who was ‘male, 40-years old, with long rifle’.

The two, who have been married since 2009, were also concerned that it may be someone stalking the former Charmed and Who’s The Boss star.

But it wound up to be a teen with an air gun, and Milano faced criticism for calling the cops amid her calls to defund the police.

Milano later denied that she called the cops, instead saying it was her neighbor who made the initial 911 call ‘after seeing a person dressed in black holding a rifle behind my home where I live with my young children and husband’.

She did, however, admit that her talent agent husband made a follow up phone call to 911 to check on the status of the officers’ arrival, but said they they showed up as he was on the line.
