Nancy Pelosi Gives Up Game, Spent Almost $500K On Private Jets Despite ‘Moral Obligation To Be Good Stewards

Sharing is caring!

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave up the game in campaign filings that show has spent nearly $500,000 on private jets since 2020. This comes after she has repeatedly talked about the need for the world to address climate change.

The issue is not climate change or private jets. The issue is hypocrisy. Flying on private jets is probably the single worst thing you can do for the environment. Look, our politicians have to walk the walk on this stuff or they will lose credibility.

Because Pelosi is on record as saying about climate change, “For me, it’s a religious thing. I believe this is God’s creation, and we have a moral obligation to be good stewards.”

“Flying on a private jet is probably the worst thing you can do for the environment,” T&E aviation director Andrew Murphy said. “And yet, super-rich super polluters are flying around like there’s no climate crisis.”

According to Greenmatters: “A 2019 study investigated the environmental impact of private jets, and the findings were beyond shocking. The report revealed that private jet travel in the U.K. alone contributes to approximately one million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, according to the Evening Standard. That’s about the same amount that a total of 450,000 cars would create in that same amount of time.

“A similar study from the Common Wealth think-tank also showed there were 128,000 private jet flights between the U.K. and EU in 2018. It went on to say that private jet passengers account for 10 times as many greenhouse gas emissions as a commercial traveler, and 150 times more than train travelers.”

From The New York Post:

The California Democrat’s campaign paid Virginia-based Advanced Aviation Team a total of $423,707.62 for travel services on 10 occasions between October 2020 and December 2021, according to Federal Election Commission filings first reported by Fox News.

In January last year, the Pelosi team also paid California-based Clay Lacy Aviation $65,457.23, bringing the campaign’s private jet expenses to a grand total of $489,164.85.

In August last year, Pelosi paid Advanced Aviation $67,604.93

John Kerry defended his use of private jets saying he tried to offset the carbon.

“If you offset your carbon, it’s the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle.”
