After Pelosi Caves On Impeachment – McConnell Tells Her It’s Too Late By Supporting Dismissal
Nancy Pelosi has spent the last few months holding impeachment over our heads, and we’re tired of it.
First, she flip-flopped to support a wildly partisan impeachment. She and her House Democrats denied basic rules of fairness as they rammed through their inquiry.
But even after she backed this “urgent” impeachment, she sat on the articles. She had the audacity to plunge our country’s future into uncertainty—and punished us all by refusing to send the articles to the Senate.
America was outraged. Pelosi pushed a bogus impeached but denied the Senate from doing its Constitutionally-mandated job.
Thankfully, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell refused to play Nance’s game.
Now she’s blinking.
From The Hill:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Friday that she expects to send the articles of impeachment against President Trump over to the Senate next week, breaking the standoff that had delayed the trial over his dealings with Ukraine…
“I will be consulting with you at our Tuesday House Democratic Caucus meeting on how we proceed further,” she added.
Pelosi thought she could hold the Senate hostage. By refusing to send over the articles right away, she thought she could control how the Senate conducted the trial.
Unbelievable. This woman denied Republicans a voice in the House proceedings. Now she wants to force her way into a separate house of Congress?
Who does this woman think she is?
Only now does she see the massive error of her ways, by signaling she’ll finally send the articles. But McConnell might not even give her a chance.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has signed onto a resolution by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) seeking to change the rules of the Senate to dismiss articles of impeachment if they are not transmitted within 25 days of their approval — in this case, Jan. 12.
Boom. McConnell is backing a resolution that gives Pelosi 25 days to send the articles over. That means she has until January 12—Sunday—to send them over.
Pelosi, in typically bully fashion, said she would “discuss” sending them over Tuesday. This woman thinks she can drive this government into the ground—and still call the shots.
Hopefully McConnell stands his ground. He got her to blink, but he should get her to go crying home with a big loss.
Nancy made a mockery of impeachment with her sham inquiry and partisan vote, so McConnell shouldn’t play by her rules.
Then she tried to control the Senate by withholding the articles? Even Democrats have to admit this woman has grossly overstepped her bounds.
We’re past the time of giving Democrats the benefit of the doubt. They have proved they don’t care about this country’s well-being. They hate Donald Trump and all the good he’s doing.
It’s time they learned they’re not in the driver’s seat anymore.
SHARE if you want McConnell to dismiss this impeachment once and for all!
