Former First Lady Michelle Obama took a swipe at President Trump and his administration – she never mentioned Trump by name choosing to keep playing the dump, phony DC game – saying she and former President Obama “never could’ve gotten away” with what Trump is doing.
Michelle made the comments on her new Spotify podcast that featured her mother, Marian Robinson, and her brother, Craig Robinson.
No matter the subject – the podcast was meant to be about family and race – the left always finds a way to take cheap shots at Trump and in that way they make his support stronger.
From The New York Post:
Race was prevalent throughout their discussion, during which Obama explained how “almost everybody” she knows has had “some kind of incident where they were just minding their own business but living Black, and got accused of something.”
Obama continued by saying that from a young age, Black children are taught that they have to exceed expectations in order to be viewed as though they were enough.
“You’re taught, you know, people are going to assume the worst of you. So you’ve got to be better than, you’ve got to be 10 times better than,” she said.
“When we were in the White House, we could’ve never gotten away with some of the stuff that’s going on now, not because of the public, but our community wouldn’t have accepted that.
You worked, you did your best every day. You showed up,” she told her mother and brother during the discussion.
The former first lady declined to mention the current commander-in-chief by name, but she has not been shy in her criticism of him in the past.
During her speech at the Democratic National Convention last month, Obama criticized her husband’s successor, calling him “the wrong president for our country” who was “clearly in over his head.”
