Sarah Huckabee Sanders Puts Rivals On Notice With Record Breaking Fundraising Haul

Sharing is caring!

Arkansas gubernatorial candidate and former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders just put her GOP rivals and her future Dem opponent on notice with a massive fundraising haul.

She raised a record-breaking $4.8 million in her first quarter as an official candidate. That number broke quarterly fundraising records from any campaign in Arkansas history.

Sanders’ campaign said the fundraising haul broke the record for money raised in a single quarter by any candidate in Arkansas history. Sanders is running for the seat which will be vacated by Governor Asa Hutchinson.

The field was crowded but when Sarah announced her rivals started dropping like flies and after this show of force, expect no serious challenger to her in the GOP primary. Hutchinson only raised $4.4 million for his entire race in 2014.

“I am grateful for the generous support of so many Arkansans – in 60 days we held over 50 events in Arkansas and received more than 6,500 donations across all 75 counties of the state,” Sarah said in a statement.

“Our message of limiting government and advancing education and opportunity is clearly resonating. I will be on the front line of the fight for freedom and am encouraged to have so many friends across our state and country standing with us,” she added.

“To put Sarah’s $4.8 million raised in two months in perspective, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson raised $4.4 million over two years for his entire campaign when he was first elected in the 2014 cycle,” a campaign official said.

The average donation was $97 and 90% of donations were $100 or less with a good portion coming from out of state.
