President Biden Faces Serious Accusation – 15 Members Of White House Staff Came From One Firm, Experts Claim It’s “Legalized Corruption”
A President’s staff always comes under heavy scrutiny, especially during the early days of the administration. And Joe Biden’s team has definitely had its fair share of criticism.
But most people might not be aware of the most questionable aspect of Biden’s staff — as it turns out, 15 members share the same connection.
And this connection might be an example of “legalized corruption,” according to several sources.
As first revealed by The Intercept, many high-ranking members of Biden’s staff come from the same firm: WestExec.
And it may prove to be a “revolving door” for powerful positions:
‘It’s a remarkable march through the revolving door’ for the more than 15 former WestExec members to be selected for such powerful positions, ‘especially for a firm that only launched in 2017’ according to the report.
These people end up holding down multiple jobs and titles at the same time, in fact.
The individuals who passed through WestExec and ended up on Biden’s staff include: White House press secretary Jen Psaki, Secretary of State Tony Blinken, and Avril Haines, Director of National Intelligence, among others.
The problem is that because they all come from the same firm, “groupthink” and widespread bias is possible:
…the creeping monopolization of foreign policymaking by a single boutique consulting firm has gone largely unnoticed.
The insularity of this network of policymakers poses concerns about the potential for groupthink, conflicts of interest, and what can only be called, however oxymoronically, legalized corruption.
Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow wrote about this in his book, “Breaking the News: Exposing the Establishment Media’s Hidden Deals and Secret Corruption.”
In it, he outlines the connection those 15 members have with WestExec, and just how potentially dangerous this is.
While WestExec claims to be a “committed to excellence, integrity, and bipartisanship,” many wonder just how “bipartisan” they can be if they all come from the same place.
Then there’s the apparent conflict of interest, as Washington University of St. Louis Law Professor Kathleen Clark said:
Yes, they’re employed by the government, I’ll grant you that.
But are they actually working for the American people or not? Where does their loyalty lie? The private sector can in essence co-opt the public sector.
She added that this “exempts them from public accountability,” which is a definite issue.
But for their part, the White House claims this private sector experience is essential, and says there is no underlying current of bias that connects the former WestExec members on Biden’s staff.
Well, they can say this, but the American people might not be convinced.
When so many high-ranking individuals in Washington all seem to have the same pedigree and professional experience, we have to assume they have a lot of things in common.
This could easily include political views, which could in turn impact policy making on Capitol Hill.
So, maybe President Biden should answer this accusation of “legalized corruption” ASAP.
Key Takeaways:
- Experts claim Biden’s staff might feature “legalized corruption.”
- 15 high-ranking members come from one firm (WestExec), which leads to the potential for “groupthink and conflicts of interest.”
- Law professor Kathleen Clark asks, “where does their loyalty lie?”
