Wounded Army Vet And GOP Senate Candidate Gets Sensitive Content Warning By Twitter On Picture That Showed His Face

Sharing is caring!

U.S. Army veteran Sam Brown was seriously wounded during a firefight in Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2008 after an IED blew up his Humvee. He announced last month that he is running for U.S. Senate in Nevada.

Brown said in a tweet, “I am a man of God. I am a husband. I am a father. I am a veteran. And I am an American. The road to freedom is never easy. I’ve fought for this great nation once, and I’m willing to do it again. Let’s get this nation back on track.”

Brown went viral with an Independence Day when he posted a picture of him saluting while in uniform that said, “freedom isn’t free.”

In the tweet, Brown wrote, “On July 4, 1776, America was born.”

“On July 4, 2021, we’re still the best country on this planet,” he added.

Then something sad and shocking happened to the American hero. Brown had to break some stunning news to his fans and the public that his post had been flagged for “sensitive content.” He shared a screenshot of the the message.

“Hey @Twitter, I didn’t realize my face was “sensitive content” Ironic considering I only have 3 tweets & just filed to run for U.S. Senate only hours ago.”

“Was it my scars or the fact that I salute the flag?

“Regardless, neither are going away—and neither am I,” Brown said.

He says on his campaign site:

“I believe in establishing a system of leadership that serves and benefits all of Nevada

Duty to our country inspired me to pledge my life to service.

“ After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, I served in the United States Army as an Infantryman, deploying for one combat tour to Afghanistan.

“Now, duty to a purpose, far greater than one man, has convinced me that it is time to enter service again.

“Join with me as we restore power to the American people through leaders who serve the interests of ALL Americans.”
