Joe Biden Heckled At Rally In Virginia: ‘It’s not a Trump rally, let him holler’

Sharing is caring!

Joe Biden went to a rally to promote the candidacay of Clinton money man Terry McAuliffe in Virginia and promptly got heckled by the crowd. “Terry and I share a lot in common – I ran against Donald Trump and so is Terry,” Biden said. “And I whipped Donald Trump in Virginia and so will Terry.”

“You’re not gonna find anyone, I mean anyone, who knows how to get more done for Virginia than Terry,” Biden said. “Off-year election, the country’s looking. This is a big deal.”

Next came the hecklers who interrupted the speech and battled back and forth with the pro-Biden crowd for control of the venue. “That’s OK, that’s alright, let him talk,” Biden said. “Look, it’s not a Trump rally, let him holler, no one’s paying attention,” he added.

“The United States is based on — the only country in the world based on the proposition, ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident,’ that all women and men are created equal, endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” Biden said later.

“We’ve never met the test, but we’ve never walked away from it like the Republicans have.”

From Forbes:

President Joe Biden on Friday lauded Republican governors and conservative pundits for calling more strongly in recent days for Americans to get vaccinated against coronavirus, describing them as having had an “altar call” as the U.S. faces a resurgence of the virus due to the spread of the more infectious Delta variant.

Biden noted during a rally in Virginia “a lot of our very conservative friends” have come out publicly in support of the vaccines in recent days, pointing to both Fox News pundits and “the most conservative commentators, or governors.”

Biden also said “thank god” for Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, a Republican who said Thursday it’s time to “start blaming unvaccinated folks” for the rise of cases in her state, adding that the unvaccinated, rather than “regular folks,” are “letting us down.”
