Report: Biden Caught Blocking Rescue Attempts – Private Flights Prevented From Helping Evacuate U.S. Citizens

Sharing is caring!

The Biden administration continues to face heavy criticism from all sides, especially in regards to the Afghanistan evacuation efforts. Some say the entire operation was botched from the start.

On the flip side, Biden’s team maintains that most Americans are now out of the country, and only “a few hundred” remain. They also said they’d attempt to get every U.S. citizen out.

However, it seems Biden’s State Department is blocking other rescue efforts.

The U.S. government isn’t the only option for people stuck in Afghanistan. They can also turn to private rescue operations, which are trying to get American citizens and green card holders out of Afghanistan.

This includes a group called PlanB, which is trying to charter private flights into and out of the Taliban-controlled country.

It should work but for some reason, their own government seems to be getting in the way.

The reports started to emerge over the weekend, and those involved in the efforts are furious. They’re saying it isn’t the Taliban that’s stopping them, but Biden’s White House that’s in the way.

Via The Daily Wire:

Rick Clay, who runs the private rescue group PlanB, told Fox News that the State Department is the only thing preventing the flights he’s organizing from leaving Afghanistan.

Two other American individuals separately involved in evacuation efforts, whom Fox News is not naming to avoid jeopardizing ongoing rescue efforts, similarly said that the State Department is the sole entity preventing their charter flights from leaving Afghanistan.

If President Biden really wants to help every American remaining in Afghanistan, one would think he’d want as much help as possible. But these private rescue attempts are reportedly being thwarted.

One of the sources said that “all it takes is a fu***** phone call” to solve the problem. Instead, it appears the U.S. would rather “negotiate with American lives.”

As far as this particular individual is concerned, the entire situation is unacceptable:

If one life is lost as a result of this, the blood is on the White House’s hands. The blood is on their hands.

It is not the Taliban that is holding this up – as much as it sickens me to say that – it is the United States government.

Another source told Fox News they were “embarrassed” that private factions had to step in because Biden’s admin had failed.

PlanB continues to try to rescue as many U.S. citizens in Afghanistan as possible, but the State Department has yet to give the green light. And while they’re stuck behind the red tape, Americans are stuck in Afghanistan.

This is doubly concerning, because now we’re hearing that the Taliban might be holding Americans hostage by not allowing flights to leave.

As Politico reporter Daniel Lippman tweeted:

And earlier in the month, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) accused Biden of getting in the way of other private rescue efforts.

If these efforts – like PlanB – exist to help Americans in hostile territory, it only makes sense that our government accept the help. And while the efforts should be vetted, it seems to be taking far too long.

We all know the government doesn’t move very quickly. But all this red tape and hesitation might cost lives.

And that could result in another black mark on the Biden administration — and one that won’t wash off very easily.
