Jon Gruden’s Colin Kaepernick Emails Leak:”They suspend people for taking amino acids they should cut this f**k”

Former Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden’s emails ripping Colin Kaepernick just leaked and Colin will not be happy.

The emails were between Gruden and former Washington Football Team president Bruce Allen between 2010 and 2018. The subject of anthem kneelers came up and Gruden let them have it. Gruden and Allen were talking about the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback’s protest on Aug. 28, 2016 when Gruden dropped this:

“They suspend people for taking amino acids they should cut this f**k,” Gruden reportedly wrote. Allen expressed his anger over the kneelers to which Gruden said: “good for you.”

Gruden, working for ESPN at the time, was one of those media members. His name is redacted in the court filings, but the homophobic and misogynistic emails match those described by the New York Times on Monday.

In one, the “Redacted – ESPN Personality” rages to Allen about a “clueless anti football p***y” — which the Times reported was a reference to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

In another, he says Goodell shouldn’t tell teams to “draft queers” — a reference to the Rams’ 2014 selection of openly gay defensive lineman Michael Sam.

In another, sent directly to Allen on Aug. 28, 2016, he references an NFL statement one day earlier, in response to Colin Kaepernick’s initial protests of police brutality.

“They suspend people for taking amino acids they should cut this f**k,” the “Redacted – ESPN Personality” wrote.

Allen responded, in part: “I’ve expressed my OUTRAGE.”

The “ESPN Personality” then wrote back: “Good for you.”

Allen also criticizes protests

In a later email unrelated to Gruden, from 2018, Allen told conservative talk show host Mark Levin that, “remember 90%+ of NFL players have never considered kneeling. The 10% of the players and owners are the issue (see [Eagles owner] Jeff Lurie & 49ers owner).”

“Good points, will hit some of this now,” Levin responded, presumably referring to his show.

“Thanks,” Allen wrote back. “This is so ridiculous it’s embarrassing.”

From Fox News:

Gruden also said Reid, who was one of Kaepernick’s first supporters in a kneeling protest, should be fired, the New York Times reported.

Both Kaepernick and Reid settled a collusion lawsuit with the NFL in 2019. Kaepernick has not played in the league since 2019. Reid, a Pro Bowler, played in 2019 but has not played since.

According to ESPN, Gruden said in 2018 breakfast at an owners meeting he was “surprised” Kaepernick wasn’t in camp with at least one team.

“I think there’s a lot of intrigue there. His performance on the field wasn’t very good, on tape. I think, Robert Griffin, a rookie of the year, [I’m] surprised he’s out there. Tim Tebow takes a team to the playoffs, there’s some surprise that he never came back. You know, Johnny Manziel, he’s out there,” he said.

“Back to Kaepernick, he got beat out by [Blaine] Gabbert to start the [2016] season. I think that says something. [But] I am surprised he’s not in camp with somebody. He probably will be soon.”
