Kanye Rips John Legend, Backs Trump: “I still got a red hat on today, I’ll let y’all know that”
Kanye West went on Revolt’s “Drink Champs” podcast and refused to back down for supporting former President Donald Trump saying he is still has his red hat on.
“Drink Champs” hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN asked Kanye if other artists were snubbing him while he had a red hat on meaning his support of Trump.
“I still got a red hat on today, I’ll let y’all know that. I might not got it on right now, but I’ll let y’all know where I stand with it,” he said. Kanye then took a few swipes at artists who took issue with his politics saying:
“Both John Legend and Big Sean, when I ran for office, got used quick by the Democrats to come at they boy that actually changed they life.
“I don’t rock with neither of them, and I need my apologies.”
“I’m not really saying anything shocking, you know John Legend gone always show up and do whatever them folks tell him to do.
“That’s not a shocking thing, man.”
“Was just wit this man, he ain’t say none of that!!! And this was after the interview! I’m dying laughing at you @kanyewest,” Big Sean said in response on Twitter.
John Legend said earlier: “I don’t think we’re less friends because of the Trump thing.
“I just think we’re doing our own thing.
“We’ve both got growing families and I no longer have a formal business relationship with him as an artist, so I think it’s just part of the natural cycle of life,” he said.
