Ukraine President Sends Biden Spinning – After U.S. Pledged Protection, He Accuses Joe And Allies Of ‘Watching From Afar’

Sharing is caring!

Joe Biden tried to clean up his own mistake after he seemed to give Putin a green light to invade Ukraine last month. He went around this month, making big claims about Russia’s intent to attack the sovereign nation. It seems he was trying to overcompensate for his deadly mistake. But despite his big words, he did not do anything to stop Russia from attacking.

Now, Biden seems caught off guard. He gave a speech yesterday, promising more sanctions—despite admitting sanctions didn’t work in the first place. He refuses to send troops to fight Russia but hasn’t given any clear idea how the U.S. can help. Now, the Ukrainian president is blasting Biden.

From Fox News:

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy released a statement scolding his country’s allies for “watching from afar” as the country is forced to defend itself alone against a much larger Russian military invasion…

He added: “Did yesterday’s sanctions convince Russia? We hear in our sky and see on our earth that this was not enough.”

The United States and other NATO allies had an agreement with Ukraine. They vowed to defend the nation, should they face attack. Yet today, President Zelenskyy is condemning America and other nations for simply “watching from afar.” Russia is firing missiles and sending troops into Ukraine—and its allies appear to be doing nothing.

The day after Russia invaded Ukraine, many world leaders spoke up. They hemmed and hawed about how terrible it is for Putin to attack the country. Yet what are they doing? Ukrainians are dying as Russia pushes into the country. And the world’s leaders are twiddling their thumbs.

Biden has promised aid and support. But all we’ve seen so far is sanctions. Putin isn’t scared of sanctions. His goal is to take over Ukraine and use it as a strategic road into Europe. There is no telling what he might do from there. And if the world’s leaders, including Biden, sit back and let him take Ukraine, it will encourage him to invade more countries.

But hey, at least we no longer have mean tweets, right?

Key Takeaways:

  • The president of Ukraine blasted his allies for doing nothing as Russia invades.
  • He accused them of “watching from afar” as the country fights a much larger force.
  • Joe Biden and other leaders have condemned the attacks, but have done little.
