Pelosi CLUELESS About How Government Works, Tells CNN SCOTUS Is ‘Dangerous To The…’ [VIDEO]
On Sunday, during an appearance on CNN‘s “State of the Union” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that private corporations should provide travel expenses for their employees to receive an abortion in a state where it is legal if the unconstitutional 1973 Roe v Wade decision is overturned by today’s US Supreme Court.
CNN host, the despicable Dana Bash, prompted Pelosi with the question of will she encourage private companies to provide travel for women who want to get abortions but it’s banned in their state and will she do it as a health benefit.
What follows is part of the astonishing transcript for the segment. I’ll go over where Pelosi is just flat out wrong and ignorant afterward:
“ANCHOR DANA BASH: What can you do to help women who will be seeking abortions, but live in states where it’s banned For example, would you encourage private companies to provide travel for abortions as a health benefit?
PELOSI: Well, of course, that, but the fact is we, as a country — this is — let’s just put this in perspective. What we want women and families and everyone to focus on is the nature of this decision. This is — our country, the genius of our founders was to have a Constitution that enabled freedom to expand. And it did with marriage equality, it did with Roe v. Wade, in many ways, defining freedom more fully.
This is the first time the court has taken back a freedom that was defined by precedent and respect for privacy. So, let’s stay focused on who we are as the country and not turn into something where we have to depend on the privacy. I think that’s all good. It’s helpful to the women, and that’s important. But it’s also important to know that this is not right. This is not the path of freedom for our country. So they’re putting freedom on the ballot. And our democracy has been on the ballot because of what they have — are doing to elections.
But this is a place where freedom and the kitchen table issues of America’s families come together. What are the decisions that a family makes? What about contraception for young people? It’s just beyond a particular situation. It’s massive, in terms of contraception, in vitro fertilization, again, a woman’s right to decide. And it’s OK — we want to mitigate for the damage, but we have to get rid of the damage.”
Pelosi went on to say that the Supreme Court is “dangerous to the freedoms of our country.” The woman is nuts!

Pelosi starts out saying the Democrats want the country to focus on the nature of the leaked initial draft document that was written by Justice Samuel Alito that makes it seem that the High Court is about to overturn Roe. The nature of the decision is the SCOTUS majority is telling us that the Constitution says that the federal government has no role in abortion because abortion is not listed in the Constitution as one of the 18 enumerated powers.
The federal government can do a law on abortion, but it must do it in the form of an amendment to the Constitution. The federal government must ask the states for permission to take power like that away from the states.
When the Democrats in DC created the abortion laws after the document was leaked, they violated the Constitution and Nancy Pelosi, along with CNN’s Dana Bash, are just too stupid to realize it. But Pelosi is the Speaker of the House of Representatives! She should know better.
Pelosi said that what the SCOTUS is going to do is not right and is not the path of freedom for our country. Actually, everything Nancy Pelosi has done since she came into office in the latter part of the 20th century has been on the wrong path for freedom for our country.
What she is saying is that people in states getting to vote for what they want and do not want is not the path of freedom, or that democracy in action is not the path of freedom. She’s never read the Constitution.
The rest of her rant is more mindless than the ignorant parts. The issue of abortion has always been a state issue and not a federal one and the current Supreme Court is reminding us of how badly our federal government has behaved over the last one hundred years by usurping powers from the states that the federal government just makes up out of whole cloth. The SCOTUS in 1973 made up the so-called Constitutional right to abortion.
They lied to the American people and the current court is setting things back to the way things are supposed to be done. Anyone who tells you any different is lying.
