“Texas is a Lot Closer Than Saudi Arabia”: USA Executives Call Out Joe Biden: “Does not need to be traveling halfway around the world searching for solutions to this energy crisis when the solution is right here at home
As President Joe Biden goes halfway around the world to break his promise to the left to treat Saudi Arabia like a ‘pariah’ American energy executives are breaking their silence and calling out Joe for forgetting about America.
“We think Texas is a lot closer than Saudi Arabia,’ American Exploration and Production Council CEO Anne Bradbury said. “And President Biden does not need to be traveling halfway around the world searching for solutions to this energy crisis when the solution is right here at home.”
“If the administration is serious about increasing supply, they should be meeting with producers here at home instead of looking to governments overseas,” American Petroleum Institute spokeswoman Christina Noel told Fox Business.
“We will have the opportunity, among this very broad agenda, to talk about energy security with the leaders of the OPEC nations in the Middle East, just as we discussed energy security when he was on his trips in Europe and in the Indo-Pacific,” National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said.
“Human rights — are a strategic interest of the United States. So is energy security, so is stopping terrorism, so is seeking peace in a place like Yemen,” Sullivan added.
“My views on Khashoggi have been made absolutely, positively clear and I have never been quiet about asking about human rights,” Biden said Thursday
“There are so many issues at stake that I want to make clear that we can continue to lead in the region and not create a vacuum — a vacuum that is filled by China and or Russia, against the interest of both Israel and the United States and many other countries,” Biden said.

“While oil production is not expected to be the main topic of the meeting, US officials do expect the topic to arise — there is hope that the Kingdom will commit to increasing production in the weeks following the meeting.
“Biden said Thursday that the reason he is going to Saudi Arabia is “much broader” than just oil and that he is traveling there to promote US interests.
“He noted that he’ll be meeting with many leaders of the Middle East and attending a meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council plus three — Egypt, Iraq and Jordan.”

Hatice Cengiz, the fiancée of murdered Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, called President Biden’s planned visit to Saudi Arabia “heartbreaking” and “disappointing.”
Biden, who once vowed to make Saudi Arabia a “pariah,” is set to meet with the crown prince on Friday, a move that Cengiz described as “a huge backing down” in an AP interview.
“It’s heartbreaking and disappointing. And Biden will lose his moral authority by putting oil and expediency over principles and values,” Cengiz said.
