Joy Behar Stuns Crowd, Agrees With GOP On Ilhan Omar: “I Don’t Beleive Her That Is A Worldwide Trope”

The View Co-hosts had wildly different takes on House Republicans booting Ilham Omar from her coveted Committee assignment today. Joy Behar stunned the crowd by throwing Omar under the bus saying she did not believe the Dem Rep when she said she didn’t know her comments were anti-semitic.

Joy Behar said she found it hard to believe Omar’s claims that she didn’t know that she was using an anti-Semitic trope: “She said that she did not know that what she said was a Jewish trope, that people equate money with Jews, I don’t believe her.” When someone tried to defend Omar saying she is an immigrant.

Joy shot back, “She’s been here a long time and that is not a trope that is just here in this country, that is a worldwide trope.”  Sunny disagreed saying she takes Omar “at her word” and that she didn’t know she was using an anti-Semitic trope and said it was racist to kick her off the committee.

Sara Haines agreed with Joy and explained that Omar keeps saying anti-Semitic things and defended the GOP from booting her from the Foreign Affairs Committee.

She said, “Omar apologizes but then steps back in the same puddle and eventually your actions speak louder than words.”

Yesterday House Republicans voted to remove Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee over past controversial comments she made about Israel.

The resolution, introduced by Rep. Max Miller, R-Ohio, stated that Omar “has disqualified herself from serving on the Committee on Foreign Affairs, a panel that is viewed by nations around the world as speaking for Congress on matters of international importance and national security.”

Rep. Cori Bush said: “The white supremacy happening is unbelievable.

“Ilhan Omar has been harassed at her job for simply existing as a Muslim woman in Congress.”

AOC said:

“One of the disgusting legacies of 9-11 has been the targeting and racism against Muslim Americans and this is an extension of that legacy.

“Racism and incitement of violence against women of color.”

Omar said she is not going anywhere if she is removed:

“It’s not only a political stunt, but also a blow to the integrity of our democratic institution and threat to our national security.

“My voice will get louder and stronger! My leadership will be celebrated around the world, as it has been!”

“Rep. Omar certainly has made mistakes,” Hakeem Jeffries said.

“Ilhan Omar has apologized. She has indicated that she’ll learn from her mistakes, is working to build bridges….with the Jewish community.”
