Jay Leno Faces Major Backlash For Telling Awful Joke About Jeremy Renner’s Accident
Jay Leno is facing a major backlash for telling an awful joke about his motorcycle crash and severely injured Hollywood star Jeremy Renner. Leno said of his accident earlier: “It’s so funny you should say that. That was the first accident. OK? Then just last week, I got knocked off my motorcycle.
“So I’ve got a broken collarbone. I’ve got two broken ribs. I’ve got two cracked kneecaps. I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it.
“So, you know, I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just clotheslined me and, boom, knocked me off the bike. The bike kept going, and you know how that works out. You know, after getting burned up, you get that one for free.
“After that, you’re Harrison Ford, crashing airplanes. You just want to keep your head down.”
Jeremy Renner issued a tragic update on the condition recently:
“I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I Much love and appreciation to you all.
I was riding my motorcycle up in Lake Tahoe and I came around the corner and bam, I crashed into Jeremy Renner’s snowplow.

Enter Jay Leno who told an awful joke about both accidents on social media which drew immediate backlash:
“I was riding my motorcycle up in Lake Tahoe and I came around the corner and bam, I crashed into Jeremy Renner’s snowplow.”
“How is that funny,” Brooke Hammerling said.
“Not funny. Renner broke 30 bones in the process of saving his nephew’s life. Respect to the guy. Pure guts,” John Dawson said.
“Stay retired. That’s a terrible “joke”. Maybe your humor went up in smoke?” Bill Hynes said.
