A Dem state Senator from Arizona has been arrested according to authorities and multiple media outlets for a heinous crime. Arizona state Sen. Tony Navarrete has been arrested for alleged sexual conduct with a minor in 2019 according to authorities.
Navarrete is a first-term Democrat from Phoenix. He was taken into custody Thursday. Police told local Phoenix media he was cuffed and stuffed over allegations he had sexual conduct with a minor in 2019. New reports are using the term molestation to describe what the disgraced lawmaker did.
Navarrete faces multiple counts of sexual conduct with the minor. He also faces other charges the police did not name but menacingly called “other crimes.”
Senate Democrats released a statement confirming the news that one of their members was arrested.
“We are aware one of our members has been arrested and are awaiting further details and for law enforcement to do its job,” the statement said.
“We will not have further comment at this time.”
