Supreme Rules On Historic 6-3 Election Case – They Just Sided With The State Of Arizona And Against Ballot Harvesting

Sharing is caring!

In the aftermath of the 2020 Election, Republican-controlled states have been fighting to fix countless voting problems.

Not a big surprise, though, that Democrats are doing everything they can to stop them.

Funny how Democrats don’t mind a broken system that can be easily exploited, huh?

Arizona passed rules to prevent ballot harvesting and other changes that would open elections to fraud.

Democrats sued, taking it all the way to the Supreme Court. But the court just handed them some major news.

From Fox News:

The Supreme Court upheld Arizona voting rules that restrict ballot harvesting and the submission of provisional ballots outside of one’s home precinct, following a challenge from the Democratic National Committee.

In a 6-3 decision on Tuesday, the court ruled that neither the policy requiring provisional ballots to be completely disregarded if submitted at the wrong precinct nor the law making it a felony to submit another person’s ballot (with limited exceptions) violate Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. The decision overturned a ruling by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that Arizona rules that prevent ballot harvesting and voting outside of one’s precinct did not violate the Voting Rights Act.

Democrats have tried to undermine legitimate election integrity bills all over America. Their weak argument is that restrictions to voting somehow prevent minorities from getting to the polls.

When pressed for an explanation of this, they often accuse people of being racist. Not a great argument.

The reality is, Democrats have no real way of showing how basic voting protections limit Americans’ access to the polls.

These rules do, however, make it harder for political operatives to harvest ballots. Or for crooked folks from voting in someone else’s name. Not to mention other means of cheating the system.

But Democrats don’t expect Americans to probe deeper than the “it’s racist” argument.

It seems the Supreme Court was not buying this line. They explained that Arizona’s voting rules might make it less “convenient” to vote for some people, but they do not restrict anyone from getting to the polls.

This decision is key, because Biden’s DOJ just launched a case against Georgia’s recent voting laws. The administration is trying to overturn rules Georgia passed to secure their elections (rules that other states also have enacted for years).

But my guess is, Biden’s DOJ is going to be disappointed.

Are you glad the Supreme Court stood with Arizona and its election integrity laws?
