Violent “Activist” Goes Free Thanks To BLM – He’s Accused of Committing A Horrifying Crime
The controversial Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization has been under heavy scrutiny recently. The group’s financial history especially has become a question of legal concern.
But beyond that, they’re often accused of supporting violent and racist individuals, and shielding criminals from justice. This hasn’t done anything to help their falling reputation in the past few years.
And now, they’ve just helped an accused assassin go free.
A Black Lives Matter “activist” is now free, out on $100,000 bond posted by his own organization. And he wasn’t in jail for a simple protest, or a brief altercation in the street that got out of hand.
No, Quintez Brown is accused of attempted murder — of a high-profile politician and four other people.
According WHAS ABC11, Brown is accused of attempting to assassinate Louisville mayoral candidate Craig Greenburg. The accused allegedly walked into his office and started shooting.
The shooting was aimed at four others, too, according to the report. Nobody was killed or even injured in the attempt, however.
A judge set Brown’s bond at $100,000, which BLM posted. The group claims they did it to keep the defendant “safe”:
BLM Louisville organizer and co-founder of the Louisville Community Bail Fund Chanelle Helm said the organization wanted to keep Brown somewhere safe as he awaits trial.
However, Louisville Metro Council President David James isn’t buying it.
He believes it was a mistake to let Brown out of jail, and said BLM will be responsible “for what he may or may not do to anybody.” Apparently, Brown is also suffering from mental health issues as well.
James added:
It’s unfortunate Mr. Brown has been bailed out of jail, due to his propensity to violence.
I think it’s irresponsible and I hope those who contributed to posting this bond are prepared to be held accountable if Mr. Brown injures someone while out.
Brown faces four counts of wanton endangerment, according to Louisville Police Department spokesperson Aaron Ellis.
The accused is described as a “social justice activist” and was a former intern and editorial columnist for The Courier-Journal. He’s also been highly active on social media in pushing his social agenda.
His Twitter profile says his goal is: “Pan-Africanism: the total liberation and unification of Africa under scientific socialism.”
Typically, anyone who strolls into a building and just starts shooting wouldn’t be walking free just a few days later. The very idea seems impossible to many and yet, it happened, thanks to BLM.
It’s not the first time the organization has been accused of defending violent individuals, but this one might be one of the most controversial.
Many lawmakers have come down hard on cities and states that are too lax on criminals, and police officers around the country are constantly frustrated with the swinging door of justice.
If the laws aren’t being enforced and certain people are always going free, honest, hard-working citizens are going to feel increasingly unsafe in their own homes.
And that’s precisely why accused assassins shouldn’t be walking around free, just because their skin is a certain color.
