It’s been nearly three years since we first heard the term “COVID-19.” Early on, some Americans were okay with the government taking extraordinary steps to “protect” us from this flu-like disease. But, as the months and years passed on, it’s safe to say most Americans want to go back to normal.
Except, just this week, Joe Biden signed an order extending the COVID “emergency.” This comes after he said the pandemic was over months ago. It seems Biden and the Democrats will continue to push radical mandates for the foreseeable future. But Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is not standing for this. And, he’s taken a bold step.

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis pledged to bring forward legislation further protecting individuals from discrimination based on whether they’ve been vaccinated for COVID-19 in a Thursday press conference.
Many of the state’s COVID-19 related rules are expected to expire in July, but DeSantis plans to push for further protections from vaccine-related discrimination along with protection from forced masking policies, he said. The announcement came during a press conference about the state’s plans to lower prescription drug costs.

Soon after Joe Biden extended the public health emergency over COVID again, Gov. DeSantis announced plans to shut him down. He is working to pass legislation to protect Floridians from discrimination over Biden and the federal government’s COVID mandates.
To this day, Biden keeps demanding healthy Americans get a vaccine for a disease that, for most, is nothing more than a cold. This, despite the growing number of troubling stories emerging about the dangers of the vaccines. Democrats seem to think we should blindly take an irreversible medical procedure, just because they told us to.
DeSantis plans are to ensure Florida voters aren’t mistreated by the federal government over COVID mandates. Florida was the first state to drop heavy lockdown measures. The governor refused to impose mask mandates and other tiresome rules, pushing back against counties that defied him.
He is also fighting to make sure nobody is fired over mask and shot demands. That includes schools, where teachers and administrators have pushed hard measures.
The rest of conservative America needs to follow DeSantis’s lead. If there is any hope of being free from the fear of COVID, it will be because Americans pushed back. The tyranny of this pandemic needs to come to end.
Otherwise, we will never be free of it.
