AOC Issues Warning To Joe Biden: “I do think that time for the administration is running out

Sharing is caring!

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez put President Joe Biden on notice with a brutal warning that could cost the Dems not only the Congress in 20222 but the White House in 2024.

AOC came clean and used words that will strike fear in Biden’s heart, that he is facing a “collapse” of support among left-wing Democrats and young people because he won’t cancel student debt and follow through on other campaign promises. Ocasio-Cortez spoke with New York 1 News political anchor Errol Louis where she issued the warning.

AOC said: “It is Biden’s power and ability to cancel student debt, and nobody else’s. I do think that time for the administration is running out. We need to acknowledge that this isn’t just about the middle of the road, an increasingly narrow band of independent voters.

“This is really about the collapse of support among young people, among Democratic base, feeling like they worked overtime to get this president elected and they aren’t necessarily being seen.

From The Daily Mail:

While on the campaign trail, Biden promised to chop off $10,000 from every college student’s deb. It is a promise that remains unfulfilled.

Ocasio-Cortez said that she believed Biden was still mulling what to do but cautions the ‘time for the administration is running out.’

‘We do not have much more time to wait because these falling poll numbers, I don’t believe in governing by polling.’

The Progressive Caucus – led by Rep. Pramila Jayapal and consisting of high-profile liberals like Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Ilhan Omar believes that strong support from young people and progressives could be reignited if Biden decides to follow through with his ‘promise’ on student debt, which she claims would be pushed through via executive action.

From NY1:

On the topic of her reelection campaign, Ocasio-Cortez said that she’s focusing on both national and local issues.

She wants to improve voter protection laws as well as making sure health care and other health programs are accessible to communities.

She said is working to improve public safety within her communities and assuring there is rent control for struggling families.

Ocasio-Cortez told Louis that one of her greatest achievements as congressional representative of District 14 was working alongside the Jacobi Medical Center’s program Stand Up to Violence, a group established to address the special needs of victims of trauma. Ocasio-Cortez secured half a million dollars for the program, which will help outreach to the community.

“We actually start digging into the real causes and demographics and people who are struggling that are part of these incidents,” she said.

“We actually found that we’ve been able to develop a system where reoccurrence of crime drops by more than 50%.”
